Trent's new sales territory is Topeka, Kansas!
The first time I visited Topeka, my thought was "This place is kind of a dump." HAHA! Going back a few more times I realize we were just in the "not-so-bright" part of town. PHEW!
Thankfully we found a home to rent! Eee! It's located int the "downtown area" close to Washburn University!
We will be transitioning into our new home sometime in April after a few rooms are painted.
I'm so stinkin' excited for the amount of space AND a fenced in backyard so our little maniac has a place to do this...
I love the excitement with change, but not the part where you have to make ALL new friends! We have such an awesome community of friends and family in Kansas City. It will be tough to leave! It's a good thing it's not a far of a drive, just in case we get a little bit home sick :-)
Regardless of what I feel, I know that God has a plan through all these changes in our lives. Moving presents a lot of challenges and we are praying that God uses them to grow us and stretch us in ways we haven't been stretched before.
Phillippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
My last day at Cerner is March 29th so I am on the job hunt for a position in Topeka. If you have any suggestions for me, you can view my professional website HERE.
SIDENOTE: I can't even tell you how many people texted me yesterday asking if I was pregnant. HAHA! Sorry for the disappointment! I didn't realize my cliffhanger would cause such a ruckus!
