Favorite Foundations

I like changing out my foundation depending on the season and what type of coverage I'm looking for. Here are a few of my favorites!

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15
Color: NC25
Price: $27
Where to buy: MAC locations only (I got mine in Dillards)

Positives: I went to MAC to get my wedding makeup done in September. This foundation was used on me and has been my absolute favorite ever since! I love the wide range of colors that MAC offers and I have found 2 different colors (depending on how tan I am) that match my skin tone well. I feel like that is an accomplishment! I love that you can go in and test out several different colors to see what works best. I think this foundation provides awesome coverage and hides blemishes without looking too heavy. It blends in well and lasts all day. Seriously, all day long.

Negatives: It's expensive!

Revlon Colorstay for Combination/Oily Skin
Color: 310 Warm Golden
Price: $9.99
Where to buy: Drugstores, Target, Walmart

Postivies: I specifically bought this as a cheaper alternative for my MAC foundation. The biggest reason I do not like buying drugstore foundation is that I'm scared to buy the wrong color. I brought my MAC foundation into CVS and basically found the closest match. I think it worked! For the price, this is a great product. It has a much thinner formula than MAC, but provides decent coverage that lasts. If you are on a budget, I think this would be a great foundation for you.

Negatives: I feel like I need to use a lot in order to get the coverage I'm looking for. The MAC foundation bottle definitely lasts longer.

Loreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
Color: Light
Price: $9
Where to buy: Drugstores, Target, Walmart

Positives: It says that this BB Cream "Primes, Corrects, Hydrates, and Perfects." It's basically an all-in-one. This formula is unique because it comes out of the bottle completely white. When you rub it into your skin it turns a natural beige color and gets super silky. It's weird. If you are new to makeup, I suggest trying a BB Cream. You can't really mess it up. It blends well and doesn't leave lines. It's super light. You can't really get the wrong color, either, because there are only four -Fair, Light, Medium, Deep. I think they run a little dark, so if you are a semi-tan Caucasian, I would go with light.

Negatives: This is not a full coverage foundation and provides minimal color. It leaves your skin moisturized all day, but the color doesn't always last. A lot of reviews say that this specific BB Cream makes their skin oily, but I haven't experienced that at all. I suggest using this in the dryer months when skin needs some moisture!

BareMinerals Original Formula SPF 15 Foundation
Color: Medium Beige
Price: $27
Where to buy: Ulta, Sephora, Dillards

Positives: I think this works great for sensitive, oily skin for summertime use. It's a light formula and doesn't irritate your skin at all. You can even sleep in it! I used this last summer and noticed an improvement in my complexion within a few weeks.

Negatives: The coverage is decent but it doesn't always last all day. Reapplication might be necessary. It's also expensive!

Thanks for reading! Happy Wednesday!
