Products I would not repurchase

I love trying new products. Like, a lot.

I'm sort of a hair product hoarder. If you are ever in my house and look in the cabinet under my sink, you will be shocked at how much stuff is under there. It's a little cave of things that smell nice.

Every so often I run across a product that I really don't care for. At all. Here are some of things from the past few years I would definitely not repurchase.

got2b Smooth Operator Luxury Mousse
There is nothing luxurious about this. It's a super watery formula, the hold doesn't last, and my hair manages to still be a frizz ball just hours after using it. It fails on every category a mousse is used for. But it does smell awesome! :-)

Aussie Mega Hairspray, Flexible Hold
This smells like grape soda. I feel like a 5 year old when I use it. Also it's flexible hold. Why would I even purchase flexible hold!? All I know is I wasted $3.44 on this.

American CREW Fiber
Trent is doing a little comb over thing now, and I got this for him at Cargo Largo (on the cheap) to try. The only thing I can compare this to is wax. Like a wax candle. It is so thick and hard to work with that I would literally have to set this stuff on fire in order for it to be malleable enough to use. It also dries 100% matte which looks kind of weird.

Lancome Hypnose Drama Volume Mascara in Excessive Black
This is excessively stinky mascara. They must have pumped this sucker full of collagen, because you can literally smell it on your face. It kind of reminds me of bug spray. This is just a sample size, but I just can't believe that a single tube of this stuff costs $27. Literally any other mascara is better than this.

LashBlast 24 Hour Mascara
This is not 24 hour mascara....this is 72 hour mascara. It is literally impossible to get off. I love Covergirl's regular lashblast formula (non-waterproof), so I was disappointed when I realized this is basically just a hardcore version of their waterproof formula.

Miss Jessie's Curly Buttercreme
This stuff makes my hair look like Raman Noodles. It gets rids of every bit of frizz on my head and separates it all into tiny strands. Maybe that would be great for really thick haired girls, but my fine hair looks absolutely terrible with this stuff. Not to mention it's expensive.

Sephora Pro Stippling Brush 44
I thought this brush shed tiny black hairs all over my face because I didn't wash it enough. Now I know it's just because the brush sucks.

Maybelline Baby Lips in 05 Quenched
I love the colored versions of Baby Lips but I do not like this clear one. I tried to use it as chapstick and it made my lips 10x drier.

That was probably the most negative post I've ever written. HA!! I know not everyone has my same opinion -in fact, a lot of these products have decent reviews by others online- I just wanted to be honest and help you avoid buying products you aren't satisfied with!

A follow-up is coming with some of my favorites lately to balance out all the negativity! Nobody needs that in the new year! :-)
